Have a great 2014!
I have had this tumblr since March 2011, and this will be my last post, almost three years later.
I’m glad I joined tumblr because I have seen images, text, political ideas and point of views, as well as art (and even music) that I can guarantee I would not have seen without being a part of this. Maybe I would have seen a handful of them- but it would not have been through this lense or mindset or whatever you want to call it. Plus, there are some pretty cool people on here with great taste who are doing cool stuff. And honestly, It was a highly entertaining way to pass time sitting at boarding school.
I also regret joining tumblr because I know that I would have read more books, watched more movies, and probably worked on more of my own projects if I wasn’t looking at other people’s stuff. I can likely make this claim about the way I’ve spent most of my time on the internet. We are given laptops and tablets and online programs for school to help us with our education, but I can honestly say it is more likely I know “of” a topic rather than actually knowing “about” a topic. And yeah, I think it is because of the short, entertainment-seeking attention span I have developed since I started using the internet regularly my freshman year of high school. So for right now, besides email, texting, and a new instagram account (that I know for sure I will barely use- it is mainly because of my friends I am making one), I will not frequently participate in any online/social/interactive sites…omg there are definitely better ways to put that. Whatever you want to call it. Now you know the truth- I am a hippie inside.
But it’s been fun. If you want to message me for my instagram or anything at all, I’m keeping these archives up and and will check my inbox for the next month or so.
love & peaceee,
Don’t explain your philosophy. Embody it. // I have a lot of beliefs and I live by none of ‘em. That’s just the way I am. They’re just my beliefs. I just like believing them. I like that part…they make me feel good about who I am.
